Sorry for the dead for awhile there, finishing my GIS class this semester really took up my energy and free time. But after a weekend trip, I’m fully energized and ready to get back into the Strangeness! Be on the lookout for the next episode of the podcast “The American Vampire”.
In the past I was not really a con or expo kind of person. It wasn’t anything against them or those whom attended them, I just didn’t like long lines and large groups of people. I still don’t. But this particular event seemed too good to miss. The 2018 Ohio Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Columbus Ohio (5/12/2018). So I went and regretted nothing it was fantastic!
Parking took awhile and the lines looked daunting but I made the trip so I got in line. Despite there being two massive lines to get in I only had to wait about 15 minutes and that was for buying tickets at the door.
This was an oasis of all that is weird and wonderful. It was very crowded but lines to booths and events moved pretty throughly despite this.
There were all kinds of artists, vendors and performers to see. Hand crafted Oujia boards, haunted dolls, psychics, various objects made from bones, displays from haunted attractions this place had everything!
It felt good to step out of my comfort zone and explore something new. Which is saying something since I’m regularly in and out of strange places. I’ll be back to the normal paranormal podcasting and posting soon! Til then Seek the STRANGE in your world!
